Achill Island Tours

The Field School offers 1 day and half day guided tours of Achill Island which focus on the island’s rich cultural heritage.

We specialise in Tours for University, Heritage and Genealogy Groups.

Tour guides are fully qualified archaeologists and island specialists

1-day tours with groups' own transport cost €20 per person with minimum group of 15 persons  or minimum of €300 per day inclusive

- Deserted Village, Slievemore
- Megalithic Tombs, Slievemore
- Carraun Point Shell Middens and ancient village site
- Achill Mission Settlement, Dugort
- Kildavnet, 15th Century Tower House
- Promontory Forts on Atlantic Drive

1/2 Day Tours of Achill Island - Slievemore Deserted Village, Early Medieval Graveyard, Prehistoric field walls and tour of current excavations at Slievemore.    Cost €30 per person or minimum of €200 for group of 5-10 persons

 1- Day guided Tour of Achill Beg Island.   Includes boat trip to and from the island.   Cost €40 per person or minimum of €450 per day.
